Pump System Pressure Control in Crate Washer with Pressure Sensor
In the food industry, plastic beverage crates must be cleaned on all sides with warm water under high pressure before reuse. The crates are fed through special washers where they are cleaned with spray nozzles operated with a pump under high pressure. To create sufficient system pressure for all nozzles, a pressure sensor checks the pump’s line pressure. If there is too little pressure, the sensor makes the necessary adjustments. This allows continuous and precise cleaning.

Pressure sensors with integrated analysis module measure pressure for hydraulics, pneumatics and process technology. The weFlux² series, with which pressure and temperature are measured simultaneously, also has IO-Link. This allows parameter data to be configured and transmitted.
