Angle Measurement of Metal Parts on Break Forming Presses via 2D/3D Profile Sensors
In break forming presses, it is necessary to determine the exact angle between the die and the metallic workpiece. This ensures that each pressing process delivers the same results and that each component has the same bending angle. For this purpose, two 2D/3D profile sensors are installed on the press, which travel the entire web width on a carriage and measure the metal part with micrometer precision via laser triangulation. Protective discs prevent contamination of the vibration and ambient light-sensitive sensors.
2D/3D Profile Sensors for Bending Machines
2D/3D profile sensors from the weCat3D series use the principle of laser triangulation to create 2D height profiles and 3D point clouds. The MLSL model for bending machines ensures reliable monitoring of bending angles throughout the bending process.
