Los sensores de perfiles 2D y 3D proyectan un rayo láser sobre el objeto que se quiere registrar y crean un perfil de altura lineal y preciso gracias a una cámara interna colocada en triangulación. La serie weCat3D puede integrarse sin control adicional gracias a su interface única y abierta mediante la biblioteca DLL o el estándar GigE-Vision. wenglor también ofrece algunos paquetes de software para soluciones que se apliquen a sus problemas.
