Contrast Marking Detection on Transparent Cosmetic Tubes via Contrast Sensors
During automatic filling of tubes in the cosmetics and packaging industry, the tubes must be precisely aligned before filling. Contrast sensors are used for precise positioning. The sensors reliably recognize the contrast markings applied to the round tubes, also known as print marks. Thanks to the white light used, reliable detection of the contrast marking is also guaranteed for semi-transparent tubes. The IO-Link and the integrated display also enable the quality of the mark to be continuously monitored and the filling process optimally supported.
Contrast Sensors
Contrast sensors with switching or analog output measure the brightness of objects. Sensors with switching output compare the brightness level with a reference value in order to detect contrast marking, for example. Sensors with analog output provide the measured brightness as a proportional voltage signal in order to monitor brightness curves, for example.
