Reject Monitoring in Checkweighers with Retro-Reflex Sensors
Special checkweighers weigh, classify, sort and probe all types of goods. This allows products with defects to be identified immediately and rejected via reject bins. In order to monitor this process, a retro-reflex sensor with a special single-lens optic is installed between the conveyor belt and the ejection container. The multi-beam sensor thus monitors an entire surface and reliably detects and counts objects in various shapes, colors and surfaces. This enables quantitative quality control while protecting the container from overfilling.
Retro-Reflex Sensors for Transparent Objects
In addition to detecting glossy, chrome-plated or reflective surfaces, retro-reflex sensors for transparent objects also detect and count transparent objects such as glass or film using red light. Objects are detected by interrupting the light beam between the sensor and the reflector.
