Presence Check of Nail Pins in Pallet Nail Machines by Miniature Inductive Sensor
In the production of wooden pallets, automatic nailing machines are used to join the individual wooden parts. The nail pins are first fed into magazines and then fired into the wood with compressed air. A miniature inductive sensor is used to check whether there is a metal pin in the dispenser unit and whether there is a sufficient supply for the next shot. If the nail is present, it is fired into the wood. If it is not present, the sensor switches off, the machine decelerates and issues a signal for manual intervention.
