Ring Lights for Industrial Image Processing
The wenglor LRL ring light is equipped with LEDs arranged in a circle that ensure uniform illumination intensity across the entire test object. With two sizes and three light colors, it is suitable for a wide range of applications and camera requirements in industrial image processing. The optional angle changers enable flexible adjustment of the illumination angle, allowing for better field of view homogeneity. The LRL ring light is characterized by its durability, reliability and energy efficiency, making this illumination technology the ideal choice for quality control, surface inspection and object identification in challenging industrial environments.

Illumination Methods with Ring Lights
The use of ring lights in industrial image processing varies depending on the working distance. The following illumination methods are usually used:

Illumination from Oblique Angle
When the LRL ring light is oriented at a small angle to the test surface, glare is reduced and edges, scratches and engraved marks are highlighted.

Bright Field for Long Working Distances
With an illumination intensity of up to 150,000 lux, the LRL ring light emits intense light, which ensures optimum illumination even at large working distances.

Direct Mounting of the LRLx100 on C Mount Lenses

The small LRLx100 ring light can be attached directly to C mount lenses using a special adapter. In this way, the illumination system is directly integrated without the need for additional brackets or mounting elements. The ring light is automatically centered and positioned in line with the camera’s field of view by direct connection to the C mount lens, ensuring that the test object is always ideally illuminated. This configuration requires only one camera or light mount, simplifying setup and minimizing space requirements, which is especially beneficial for quality control or surface inspection in confined application environments.
