Tilt Angle

The tilt angle, also called tilt, means the deviation of the laser beam from the ideal scanning line which is perpendicular to the barcode. Depending upon the type of scanner, excessive deviation from a tilt angle of 0° (ideal) results in the illegibility of the barcode. See also: No Read, Incorrect Read.
