Performance Made Simple. wintec with display.

Time-of-flight sensors with wintec stand for reliability and efficiency in object detection. Thanks to DS technology, they effortlessly detect objects on all surfaces, regardless of whether they are dark, glossy or transparent. The latest generation of laser sensors, which operate on the principle of transit time measurement, impresses with its high user-friendliness and intuitive operation, which speeds up their parameterization. With a maximum range of up to 10 meters, they are the right choice for applications where measurements over long distances are required.
Working range up to 10,000 mm
Detection of transparent objects
Highest accuracy in detection
Extremely high resistance to ambient light
No mutual interference
Advanced DS technology

Wireless Configuration via App

Thanks to the weCon app, time-of-flight sensors can now also be set and data transferred on the go. The Bluetooth functionality allows for easy on-site configuration, which is particularly beneficial when sensors are difficult to access or installed in large numbers. This feature significantly simplifies and speeds up the parameterization of the individual distance sensors.

Intuitive Operating Concept

Time-of-flight sensors in the P1PY2 series can be set intuitively at the touch of a button. To teach in the distance sensors with wintec, it is sufficient to press the teach button for two or five seconds. The OLED display simplifies advanced parameter configuration and allows for user-friendly customization to suit individual requirements.

Display via OLED Display

The time-of-flight sensors impress with their high-quality OLED display for parameterization and display of distance values. The clear menu guidance makes it easy to adjust sensor settings, while the clearly visible, bright OLED display ensures clear readability of measurement data under various operating conditions.

Even Larger Working Range with P1PX2 Reflector-Based Variant

By using a reflector, the P1PX2 series does not detect natural objects, but only delivers measurement results from a reflector mounted on it. Other objects are hidden by this operational principle. As the reflector reflects most of the light emitted by the emitter back to the sensor, this principle enables very large working ranges of up to 100 meters.

This feature makes the P1PX2 distance sensor particularly suitable for position determination over long distances, for example for collision protection in crane installations or the positioning of overhead tracks.

Benefits at a Glance

The P1PY2 laser distance sensor combines extended measuring ranges with a simplified operating concept. With a reflector, the working range of the transit time sensor extends up to 100 meters, while it has an impressive range of up to 10 meters even without a reflector. This flexibility enables use in a wide range of application scenarios, such as fill-level measurement or the presence check of objects.

Intensity Evaluation

In addition to the distance, ToF sensors also evaluate the light intensity reflected by the object surface. This allows them to detect the finest contrast differences, allowing for precise part control in terms of height and color. Thus, they ensure thorough fault detection for the highest product quality.

Transit time sensors also ensure that transparent objects are reliably detected even against a constant background. This versatility makes it an indispensable component in various applications – from production control to object detection in complex environments.

Dynamic Jump Detection

The P1PY2 laser distance sensors have the function for dynamic jump detection. Instead of taking absolute distances into account, the evaluation is carried out based on changes in the measured value, i.e. the jumps.

Jump detection reliably detects flat objects even on uneven surfaces and ensures accurate piece counting. It is also insensitive to misalignment, which makes it suitable for edge counting.

Integrated Speed Measurement

ToF sensors are not only suitable for detecting distance and intensity, but also for non-contact and wear-free speed measurement of objects moving towards or away from them – regardless of their surface finish over distances of up to 100 meters.

For example, ToF distance sensors in crane applications can detect too high a relative speed between the cranes. This speed overrun triggers a signal which is communicated to the higher-level control system to ensure efficient safety regulation in crane operation.
