OSSD Output

The OSSD output, also called safety output, is the output of the electro-sensitive protective equipment that is connected to the machine controls. The safety output is deactivated when the safety field is interrupted. Safety sensors are equipped with two parallel safety outputs which have to be evaluated separately. OSSD stands for output signal switching device.
