In the production of chip cards, PCB panels are printed and punched using a punching tool before they are stacked for packaging. Before transfer to a magazine, the sheets must be reliably detected in order to maintain a constant flow of material. Ultrasonic sensors ensure reliable detection of laminated, perforated and stamped sheets regardless of their color and surface – even transparent materials with numerous recesses are easily detected.

Ultrasonic Distance Sensors

Distance sensors are suitable for the detection, differentiation and measurement of objects by means of ultrasound. Different operating modes, such as synchronous, multiplex or through beam mode, can be set via the display or centrally via IO-Link, and different output variants and designs enable a wide range of possible applications.
