Leading Edge Detection for Wooden Boards Via Reflex Sensors with Background Suppression
In the wood industry, boards must be transported between the process steps on feeders. In order to reliably detect the leading edges of the wooden boards along the entire width, several reflex sensors with background suppression are installed along the transport line. Dark boards or boards with knotholes are reliably detected. The sensors also detect increasing contamination from dust or sawdust. Thanks to the contamination output, cleaning of the lenses can be triggered via an early warning signal without stopping production.
Reflex Sensors With Background Suppression
Reflex sensors with background suppression detect and measure objects contactlessly and detect them in front of any defined background. They work with red light, infrared light, blue light or laser light. Thanks to the principle of angle measurement, the color, shape and object surface have no influence on the switching behavior of the sensors.
