Photoelectronic Sensors in R Design

The R design includes photoelectronic sensors such as retro-reflex sensors and reflex sensors. The P1R sensors are particularly easy to integrate due to their compact format, low installation depth and the possibility of mounting with an M18 thread. They are used in various applications, for example in vending machine construction.

Flexible Installation Thanks to R Design

Application Variety

Fill-Level Monitoring of Packaged Food Products in Containers with Retro-Reflex Sensors for Transparent Objects

In the food industry, goods that do not meet quality standards are sorted into checkweighers and placed in containers after the weighing process. In order to check their fill level, a retro-reflex sensor for transparent objects is installed.

Hand Detection on Taps with Reflex Sensors with Background Suppression

Automatic hand wash basins, soap dispensers and hand dryers are used in the food industry, but also in highly frequented public areas. A reflex sensor with background suppression is mounted under the respective mixer tap, which triggers the water jet, soap dispenser and hand dryer when hands are detected.

In addition to the optical operating principles, ultrasonic sensors in R design are also available. By using sound waves, they provide a reliable solution for demanding applications where precise detection is essential. Thanks to their compact design and flexible mounting options, they are as easy to integrate as their optical counterparts.
