FDA
FDA stands for Food and Drug Administration, which is an American public authority for the safety of food and drugs that enforces law with the objective of protecting public health in the USA. The FDA controls the safety and the effectiveness of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical products, foodstuffs and devices which emit radiation. This applies to both products manufactured in the USA and imported products. The improvement of public health is also one of the FDA’s tasks. There are FDA approved materials and chemicals, which are listed by the CFR.
