Detection of Baked Goods in Crates via Ultrasonic Sensor
In the food industry, baked goods are transported in boxes through the various process steps. Before cleaning the boxes, it has to be ensured that there is no product left in the boxes. For this purpose, two ultrasonic distance sensors are installed next to each other above the conveyor belt, which emit ultrasonic waves and thus check the contents of the boxes. If baked goods are in a box, it is automatically ejected. The robust sensors in metric stainless steel housing with IP67 degree of protection reliably detect objects regardless of shape and color.

Distance sensors are suitable for the detection, differentiation and measurement of objects by means of ultrasound. Different operating modes, such as synchronous, multiplex or through beam mode, can be set via the display or centrally via IO-Link, and different output variants and designs enable a wide range of possible applications.
