Container Rotation Control in Cooling Water Basins Thanks to Inductive Sensors with Full-Metal Housing
Special pharmaceutical liquid products must be continuously moved and cooled in pure water solutions. In this process, the product containers are placed in large cooling water basins in rotating lattice drums. Inductive sensors with full-metal housing are installed on the side of the basin wall to guarantee the rotation of the drums. These are permanently underwater (thanks to IP68 protection) and detect metal switching flags mounted on the drums. The stainless steel sensor switches once for each rotation and reports the continuous movement.
Inductive Sensors with Full-Metal Housing
Inductive sensors with full-metal housing made of stainless steel 316L (1.4404/V4A) are impact-resistant, resistant to chemicals and high water pressure (IP68/IP69K). The sensors with additional ATEX approval for 3G and 3D areas are suitable for applications with a high risk of explosion.
