Rack-Occupied Message in Hanging Garment Shuttles with Laser Distance Sensors
Large logistics centers in the fashion industry use fully automatic hanging garment shuttles, also known as GoH shuttles, to store and retrieve garments fully automatically. Laser distance sensors Time of Flight integrated in the shuttles measure distance values and provide precise information about quantity and rack occupancy via IO-Link. The often colorful garments are covered with transparent film to protect them. Thanks to the integrated wintec technology, the sensors reliably detect these transparent, reflective protective films and even dark clothing garments.
Laser Distance Sensors Time of Flight
Laser distance sensors Time-of-Flight (ToF) work according to the principle of transit time measurement, which means that they cover large working ranges up to 10,000 mm, so that objects can be reliably detected even at great distances. The ToF sensors are extremely robust against interfering ambient light, which ensures reliable operation.
