In the wood industry, laminate packages on Euro pallets must be checked for completeness or missing individual packages before loading. For this purpose, a light curtain for measuring tasks is installed at the transport outlet. Thanks to the low resolution, it is immediately determined whether individual packages are missing in the stack. Individual package heights can be set by adjusting the resolution via the IO-Link interface.

Light Curtains for Measuring Tasks

Light curtains for measuring tasks detect and measure objects with infrared light according to the through-beam mode. The emitter and receiver are enclosed in separate housings and are available with different measuring field heights and beam distances. If the light beams are interrupted during a protrusion or height check, the sensor is switched.
