Start Function

Start function is divided in monitored start and automatic start. Start, monitored: After request of a safety function, the safety relay will not start until a reset button has been operated. See also: Edge Detection Start, automatic: After request of a safety function, the safety relay is restarted automatically. This operation mode is only admissible under special conditions, for example: · if no danger due to unexpected restart exists, · if a reset is made from a different location (with at least safety category 1 according to EN ISO 13849-1). This operation mode is not admissible, for example: · for emergency off/emergency stop command units · for accessible rooms etc. Other terms customary in the market are automatic start and auto start.
