Frequency sweep

When operating in accordance with the frequency sweep principle, the sensor “scans” its environment by emitting a high-frequency electromagnetic signal. Depending on the medium, the sensor detects a specific resonant frequency. This frequency depends on the medium’s dielectric constant (DC value). Different resonant frequencies allow media to be distinguished from each other.
