Working Range
What does the working range indicate?
The working range indicates the range in which the sensor can reliably detect the presence of an object.
Photoelectronic sensors: The working range is the range within which the object to be detected must be situated in order for the sensor to function correctly under the specified temperature and voltage conditions.
Ultrasonic sensors: The working range is the range within which the switching distance can be set or within which analog signals change in a continuous manner.
2D vision: The working range (see also: working distance) is the range (from the front edge of the optics) within which the object to be detected must be situated.
