Stack Height Measurement for Cookies with Blue Laser Light Triangulation Laser Distance Sensors
During the packaging of cookies in fully automated production lines, the objects are picked up by robot systems during operation and then stacked on top of each other for packaging. To ensure that the cookie stacks can be packed correctly with foil, the stack height must first be measured precisely. Blue laser light triangulation laser distance sensors measure the dark, organic cookie surfaces with high precision from above – accurately to a few tenths of a millimeter. This allows the packaging process to be readjusted and the cookies, which vary slightly in height, to be efficiently packaged.
Laser Distance Sensors Triangulation
The contactless laser triangulation sensors work according to the angle measurement principle, which enables reliable and highly precise measurement in the close range up to 1,000 mm. The triangulation sensors deliver stable measured values regardless of colors, shapes, rough and textured surfaces.
