Punching machines and presses in heavy industry are subjected to high shock and vibration loads due to their heavy weight of several tons. Safety light curtains are installed on the equipment to secure danger zones during the down stroke. Due to the high resolution for finger protection, the robust and vibration-resistant protective devices are attached directly to the machines. Interrupting the safety field leads to immediate standstill of the press. An emergency stop switch is also available for emergency situations, which causes an immediate standstill.
