RFID Transponder
What is an RFID transponder?
The RFID transponder, also known as the RFID tag, consists of an antenna, an RFID chip as a data carrier, and a carrier medium (such as plastic).
The RFID antenna receives and transmits the electromagnetic waves from or to the RFID reader, thereby transmitting the desired information for identification. The RFID chip serves as a storage medium for the relevant information. The carrier medium protects the RFID antenna and the RFID chip from environmental influences, such as moisture and high temperatures.
