When filling and sealing transparent food trays, their position and presence on a multi-lane conveyor must be reliably recorded. For this purpose, a laser distance sensor Time of Flight is installed above each lane on the conveyor line which is aligned to the trays from above. Despite the high material transparency, wintec sensors reliably switch regardless of whether food is already in the trays or not. The robust stainless steel 316L housing with IP69K protection class is also perfect for regular cleaning under high pressure.

Laser Distance Sensors Time of Flight

Laser distance sensors Time-of-Flight (ToF) work according to the principle of transit time measurement, which means that they cover large working ranges up to 10,000 mm, so that objects can be reliably detected even at great distances. The ToF sensors are extremely robust against interfering ambient light, which ensures reliable operation.
