Position Monitoring of Screwdrivers for On-Board Electrical System Assembly via Retro-Reflex Sensors
The position of automated screwdrivers must be detected during the assembly of on-board electrical systems for passenger cars. The function of the screwdrivers is only enabled when they are in the correct position. Several retro-reflex sensors are arranged in a matrix for this purpose. The position of the screwdriver can be clearly identified based on which beams are interrupted. With laser class 1, the sensors in the 1M universal housing are ideally suited for the automotive industry.
Universal Retro-Reflex Sensors
Universal retro-reflex sensors are suitable for the detection of glossy, chrome-plated or reflective surfaces thanks to the polarization filter. They work with red light or laser light. Objects are detected by interrupting the light beam between the sensor and the reflector.
