Function of the Sound Runtime Measurement h3>
Ultrasonic distance sensors use the principle of sound runtime measurement. The active surface on the front part of the sensor emits ultrasonic waves that are reflected by the object and received by the sensor. The ultrasonic sensors calculates the distance to the target object by measuring the time between the emission and receipt of the sonic pulse.

Narrowing of the Sonic Cone by Soundpipe h3>
The soundpipe narrows the sonic cone of the U1KT ultrasonic sensors. The use of the soundpipe prevents objects in the edge area of the sonic cone from being detected. Precise sound guidance enables you to precisely measure and detect small openings and boreholes as well as reliably detect fill levels in small containers.
