Laminar Flow
Photoelectronic Sensors: Laminar flow is a laminar (non-turbulent) air flow within a system with the objective of preventing dust from settling. All components, including sensors, must be flow-optimized.
Fluid Sensors: Laminar flow is the advance motion of liquids and gases during which (thus far) no visible turbulence (eddying or cross flow) occurs. The medium flows in layers which do not become mixed with each other. So-called turbulent flow is the opposite of laminar flow.
