Plastic Fiber-Optic Cable

Plastic fiber-optic cables consist of plastic fibres. Each individual plastic fibre conducts light by means of total reflection at a wavelength range from 400 nm to 700 nm. Plastic fiber-pptic cables should not be subjected to tensile forces.
