Discharge Control of Wooden Planks in Planing Machines via Through-Beam Sensor
In automated wood planing machines, it is very important to be able to precisely determine the position of the wood planks during insertion and removal. To avoid damaging the finished planing goods, a side-mounted through-beam sensor with a transmitter and a receiver checks the presence of the planks directly at the discharge. Only when a plank has completely left the machine is a new object drawn in via the feed system. The sensor can be ideally mounted in tight systems thanks to the small 1K design.
Through-Beam Sensors
Through-beam sensors detect and count small parts, detect the edges of objects and monitor passages in systems. The emitter and receiver are housed in separate housings according to the through-beam mode. The sensor switches as soon as an object interrupts the laser light, red light or infrared light.
