Skid Positioning in Car Body Production with Reflex Sensors With Background Suppression
In automated production lines for bodies of passenger cars, bodies on transport vehicles, so-called skids, are conveyed to the individual process steps. In order for robots to perform precise work on the bodies, the skids must be precisely positioned. Reflex sensors with background suppression are installed on the conveyor lines to detect these platforms. Thanks to high-precision laser technology, they reliably detect the position of the skids – even with changing surfaces, e.g. due to heavy signs of wear on the skid.
Reflex Sensors With Background Suppression
Reflex sensors with background suppression detect and measure objects contactlessly and detect them in front of any defined background. They work with red light, infrared light, blue light or laser light. Thanks to the principle of angle measurement, the color, shape and object surface have no influence on the switching behavior of the sensors.
