Special containers made of metal or plastic and with a drain hole are used in logistics. This allows the condensate that has formed in it to drain off. In order to reliably detect the containers despite the holes and thus enable a smooth material flow, a laser distance sensor Time of Flight with a large light spot integrated on the side of the conveyor technology checks the presence of the objects. Thanks to the large light spot, the sensor switches reliably even when there are holes.

Laser Distance Sensors Time of Flight

Laser distance sensors Time-of-Flight (ToF) work according to the principle of transit time measurement, which means that they cover large working ranges up to 10,000 mm, so that objects can be reliably detected even at great distances. The ToF sensors are extremely robust against interfering ambient light, which ensures reliable operation.
