Fill Level Monitoring of CIP Detergent Tank with Pressure Sensor in Dairy Production
In dairy plants, the production equipment must be cleaned regularly. Large stainless steel tanks are used as supply containers for CIP cleaning agents. The medium in the tank is a mixture of water and detergent. To monitor the fill level, a pressure sensor is installed at the lowest point in the tank. It measures both pressure and temperature regardless of air bubbles, foam or viscosity. The tank itself is not under pressure. The exact level in the tank can thus be determined by means of the density of the medium, its temperature and the hydrostatic pressure.
Pressure Sensors
Pressure sensors with integrated analysis module measure pressure for hydraulics, pneumatics and process technology. The weFlux² series, with which pressure and temperature are measured simultaneously, also has IO-Link. This allows parameter data to be configured and transmitted.
