Quality Control of Injection Molded Parts with B60 Smart Camera

Plastic components must be precisely inspected for visual surface defects such as cracks, blisters or discoloration after the injection molding process. For this purpose, the components are removed from their mold by a robot and positioned in front of a B60 smart camera. With the help of a neural network, the recorded images are checked for faults such as over- or under-injection as well as cracks. The AI ensures greater stability under varying light and temperature conditions as well as different material batches.
