Esses sensores trabalham com uma linha CMOS de alta resolução e tecnologia DSP e determinam a distância por meio de uma medição angular. Os sensores com Ethernet Industrial eliminam a necessidade de placas de entrada analógicas e digitais no controlador, pois todos os dados de serviço e medição são lidos, analisados e processados em tempo real e sem conversão. O Power-over-Ethernet combina a transferência de dados e a fonte de alimentação em um único cabo, reduzindo a necessidade de cabeamento.
